The Community
We are an international community united by a desire for peaceful living and the love of Christian Science. The community promotes fellowship and connection through voluntary activities - from our Lunch Club, where tenants enjoy home-cooked meals, to gardening that cultivates not only plants but also friendships.
Join Lunch Club
A mainstay of our community is the Lunch Club, a gathering every Monday through Friday, where tenants come together to enjoy fresh, delicious home-cooked meals. It offers a different set menu each day at a subsidised price. Alternatively, meals are available for take-away. Visitors and friends may be invited to join.
Enjoy a Tranquil Atmosphere
A green delight in the heart of London - our beautiful, large garden. It offers tenants a tranquil space to meet one another, read, reflect, and pray. The garden serves as a symbol of beauty, growth, renewal, and the nurturing spirit that permeates our community.
Gather Together
Bow House tenants gather together to enjoy online recordings of the Wednesday Testimony meetings and Sunday Services from The Mother Church in Boston. Watching these services together is a cherished tradition that unites us in pursuing spiritual growth and healing.
Throughout the year, we have events for Bow House residents, friends, and guests. Events include Open Days, Thanksgiving dinners, and Carol Concerts.
Bow House Resident
“I find Bow House combines the advantages of an independent tenancy and freedom of thinking with shared views on a universal dimension governing the universe.”
Bow House Resident
“I really enjoy living at Bow House.
Because there is the weekday lunch club, I get to meet with other tenants. We help in many ways in the garden together and often meet up to have talks and jointly entertain at Christmas time.
It is always nice to come home, relax, and join friends popping into London to art galleries, exhibitions, the theatre, and concerts as there are ten-minute bus services past the house 24/7. Life is so easy here!
