About Bow House
Bow House History
Bow House has a rich history dating back to the 19th century when two beautiful Victorian-style residences were built beside Wandsworth Common.
In 1965, the two residences were purchased by a housing committee headed by Audrey Butterworth. The two houses were joined together as a single home whose use was initially intended for Christian Science nurses and practitioners at the end of their careers. Over time, the purpose of Bow House has evolved to provide comfortable flatlets for any active Christian Scientist.
Bow House is a non-profit housing association offering subsidised housing to practicing Christian Scientists.
